About SNACK
SNACK (the Special Needs Activity Center for Kids) is the creation of New York mom and SNACK's Executive Director, Jackie Ceonzo. After being unable to find a fulfilling program for her son, Joey, whose disabilities fall on the autism spectrum, she worked with a team of professionals to create a place where special needs children can socialize with others while learning practical skills in a fun, creative and welcoming environment.
SNACK's mission is to fill a void in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities by providing unique programs designed and staffed to address their needs. Our mission is accomplished by establishing activity centers that provide after-school and weekend recreational programs that offer a variety of group and individual activities such as, art, music, drama, movement, games, one-on-one swim lessons, sports skills and soccer classes.
Your support will help us continue our efforts to ensure we provide these children with the help they need to thrive - the opportunity to make friends, have fun and participate in activities that typical kids do everyday. The population SNACK serves is children, ages 3-18, affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as other similar developmental and behavioral disorders. SNACK welcomes those with physical disabilities, verbal and non-verbal language abilities, across all socio-economic, race, and ethnic backgrounds. You can contact us at: info@snacknyc.com or by phone at (212) 439-9996.
We are located at: 220 E. 86th Street New York, NY 10028
