Shades of Cherry by Crosspatch Creations SignatureStone Soup Batt is a blend of various sheep's wools from Joan's flock, Bombyx Mori Silk, Silk Noil, Cut Bombyx silk and Viscose. Stone Soups will vary from batt to batt and have a spinning direction. If not spinning easily, spin from the other end.
This blend will make a VERY textured yarn.
If you are purchasing for for a larger project, we suggest that you buy enough to finish the garment/item. Tear the batt length-wise and then into 3 to 6 inchsections. Mix the sections in a basket andmix up the batts as you spin for a more uniform garment.Spin thinly to bring out the Silk,the colors and the exotic fibers.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS BLEND: After spinning wash in warm water (a little cool to the touch) with a little bit of Dawn dish detergent. Squish with your hands tobloomthe yarn. Do not use fabric or water softeners. Do not soak the skein. This is a quick wash and rinse. Rinse twice again in cold water using your hands to squish the yarn. Then wring and snap several times on a flat hard surface. Then hang to dry.At least 4 ounces.
