This tailgate is a complete kit that includes the two latches with internal handle mechanism, and the folding check straps to hold the tailgate level when opened. These straps fold up and are hidden inside the tailgate ends when the tailgate is closed. A customizing kit is also included to convert original bed sides to work with the handle and latching mechanism. Installation of this tailgate requires modification to bed sides.
