Sienna HF Transceiver Kit (10W)
The Sienna represents a breakthrough in HF transceiver designs. In addition to being a fully functional AM/FM/SSB/CW transceiver, the Sienna has a provision for a built-in optional PC, giving you the ability to handle all digital modes via the sound card without having to worry about rig interface boxes. See the PC option for details on all you can do! Supports ICOM PCR-1500 external secondary receiver with spectrum analysis (not included). Also supports Yaesu FH-1 external 12-button keypad (not included). The Sienna base model comes with a triple conversion general coverage receiver, Ten Watt (10W) transmitter, RF speech processor, audio speech compressor, Morse code keyer with adjustable pitch/volume/speed and dot and dash weighting. Requires 11-15VDC at 3A (receive), 6A (transmit). (Internal PC adds 2A.) Includes 4.5kHz@70.455MHz roofing filter, 6kHz@9MHz 8-pole AM filter, 2.4kHz@9.0015MHz 10-pole SSB filter, 20kHz@ 455kHz ceramic 4-pole filters. Options include 100W amplifier, second meter, PC, and a variety of Inrad and Collins IF filters. Most surface mount soldering is pre-done for you, with only a few large SMT components that you solder on otherwise all-through-hole circuit boards. You assemble the chassis, install options, build and connect pre-assembled cables, load or finish 10 PC boards and calibrate the receiver and transmitter. 40 hour assembly time. Recommended for experienced builders. (VGA monitor, keyboard, mouse, microphone and key are not included.)
