The The Daniel Defense Omega Rail 12.0 FSP is the latest addition to the Daniel Defense Omega Rail line. Until now the Omega X has been available only on the Daniel Defense DDM4 Carbine.
The Omega X 12.0 FSP features a unique blend of Omega Rail and AR-15 Lite Rail technology resulting in a rail system with the added 'real estate' of the increasingly popular extended rail systems.
Utilizing a proprietary barrel nut the Omega X rail system offers a smooth, virtually uninterrupted, transition from the upper receiver and the most usable rail space available in conjunction with a standard fixed front sight on a carbine length gas system.
The Omega Rail X 12.0 FSP features a two piece design for easy removal while still maintaining a true free-float rail system. Additionally, an integral limited rotation QD sling swivel mount on both sides, and an uninterrupted upper rail platform increase the flexibility of the Omega X system.
This light weight rail system is meticulously CNC machined from Aircraft Grade Aluminum and is Military Specification Type III Hard Coat Anodized. All the Omega Rail fasteners are military specification.
The Omega X 12.0 FSP Rail™ comes standard with three black ladders to protect the 1913 rails as well as the shooters hand. The Ladders are constructed from santoprene, which can handle heat up to 350 degrees.
