Its head is bonded to an aluminum post (USE also makes a titanium and carbon version) that's available in two lengths. Saddle installation is a snap and adjustment is even easier. Even though we thoroughly flogged the post on a couple of big-travel bikes, it never slipped or let out a creak in protest.
