About combed cotton
Combed cotton is an extremely soft version of cotton made by specially treating the fibers before they are spun into yarn. When combed, fine brushes pull out impurities & short cotton fibers. The texture of combed cotton is softer becaue it lacks short threads to stick out, and all the dirt and impurities have been removed. Combed cotton is more durable because the straightened fibers lie together more tightly, making it less likely to fray and unravel.
